Why is the stun gun more effective than the taser?
I recently asked a question asking the difference between the two. I've been hit by both, and the stun gun hurt me a LOT more than the taser did. Isn't the taser suppose to be more powerful? (Or the makers swear that it is?)
I took a 5 second jolt from the X 26, and don't get me wrong, I fell to the floor like a little baby, but I recovered rather quickly.
I also took a 5 second jolt from the Cheetah- a 1,000,000 Volt Stun gun, and I dropped to the floor with that, and the initial contact on my back was much more intense. I had a bruise on my back for over a week, and it took about a half hour for the throbbing feeling to go away. The Cheetah Stun gun was much more painful. Why don't Law Enforcement officers get issued these as well?

Tasers are more convenient for longer distances. A police officer is more at risk when he's up close to a subject.
